Layered Mountain Range Wood Wall Art

Four to five ridge lines are cut from thin solid wood boards and stacked on top of each other, each layer a shade darker than the one behind it. The result is a quiet mountain landscape with real depth, best in a cabin-style living room, a hallway or above a desk.

Available sizes (width x height):

• Small: 20 x 10 in
• Medium: 30 x 15 in
• Large: 40 x 20 in

The layers are glued and pinned to a solid backing, and the piece has no frame, so the cut edges of the ridges show. The darker layers get a stain; the palest layer at the top is left in its natural color under a clear coat.

A keyhole slot is routed into the back of every size, so it hangs on one screw and sits flush against the wall. A level is still helpful on the Large size.

To keep it clean, dust the top edges of each ridge with a soft brush. It is meant for indoor walls only.
